A few recent cheery cakes 
I was saddened today to hear of the passing of Kurt Vonnegut one of my all time favorite authors. I think everyone should read his book Player Piano in their lifetime.

I had a dream this morning that I was walking through the cemetery near my house at dusk or dawn, singing a gospel song at the top of my lungs--- so real. I was awakened in the midst of it by my cell phone-- a friend calling to tell me Uncle Kurt died. What a thing. I just talked to someone who grew up with him, and I was hoping she would arrange for us to talk. I feel sad. Oh well. Now I can skip the middle man and talk with him directly.
